[Translate to English:] INFS - Linux-Infrastrukturdienste
Because Linux systems are reliable, offer high performance and are
quite flexible at a low cost, they play an important role as servers
in local networks. Even in heterogenous networks, they are increasingly
popular. This course builds on "Linux Network Administration" and
deepens the skills related to the configuration of basic services like
DHCP, PAM, and LDAP. It is a solid foundation for the professional
use of Linux and advanced certifications like LPIC-3. It also
introduces the configuration of Linux-based NFS servers for other
Unix systems as well as the configuration of Samba servers for
Windows-based environments.
Prerequisits: LPIC-1 certificate or equivalent knowledge of the
material of the "Linux System Administration 2" course; Participation
in "Linux Network Administration" or equivalent knowledge. Basic
Windows skills are an advantage for the Samba part of the course.
Continuitive courses and certificates: Linux security; LPI-202 exam
of LPIC-2; LDAP and OpenLDAP; Linux and Samba
