SECU - Linux Security

Linux has a good reputation as a secure and efficient operating
system. This is why it is an essential part in every secure computing
environment. This course discusses Linux-based security techniques
like Linux firewalls and routers and the secure shell. It explains
techniques for securing Linux-based web and mail servers in great
detail. You will also learn about the basics of intrusion detection,
systems like Snort, and security scanners like OpenVAS.

Prerequisits: LPIC-1 certificate or equivalent knowledge of the
material of the "Linux System Administration II" course;
Participation in "Linux Network Administration" or equivalent
knowledge.
